Lacie Austin is a dedicated community leader, artist, and advocate for rural creativity. As the co-founder and gallery manager of Switchgrass Art Co-op and the president of the Lucas Area Chamber of Commerce, Lacie plays a vital role in supporting local artists, fostering community partnerships, and enhancing rural visibility. Since moving to Russell County in 2018, she has been actively building a vibrant and inclusive creative community. Raised on a farm in southeast Kansas, Lacie learned early on to appreciate the value in what others often overlook. In her role as co-founder of Switchgrass Art Co-op, she works to elevate the voices of living artists and nurture a supportive environment for creative growth. Through her leadership and art, she inspires others to recognize the potential in the overlooked and find beauty in the unconventional.
